Chhath puja 2019 in India

      This year(2019) Chhath puja is celebrated on 2nd November.Chhath is a Hindu festival,which is celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand,UttarPrades & West Bengal also.This puja is celebrated after diwali.This puja is dedicated to the worship of Sun and his sister Chhathi Maiya.The festival is celebrated for four days.In 2019 chhath puja began on 31st october & till on 3rd november.

This puja is done twice a year.During summer this is celebrated between march and april & in winter this is celebrated between october to november,this time chhath is called karthik chhath.During this puja devotees are prayer to the sun.Devotees also offer fruits,flowers,kheer,rice,laddu etc for prosperity,happiness and well being.This puja is also known as Surya Sasthi,Dala puja,Chhath parv.Nowadays, West Bengal Government announce holiday for chhath puja.
