Mission Shakti(ASAT)
On March 27, 2015, India launched anti-satellite missiles in the Lower Earth Orbit.The name of this mission is "Mission Shakti".The complete meaning of the ASAT is Anti Satellite Weapon. On Wednesday, March 27, the D.R.D.O and ISRO scientists launched this missile from APJ Abdul Kalam Iceland. This missile destroys a satellite rotating in the lower Earth Orbiter in just 3 minutes.
The mission is mainly for security purposes in India.After that Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted around 12 pm at the success of this mission was announced.
